SANTA FE S-4 Set

GREAT little set for under the tree. All you need in one box, the loco is a sweet runner and the track is sturdy and fits together well but one caution: a bit of time and patience will be required as the track doesn't just "snap" together - two small screws are required to fasten each section together. Much sturdier but more time-consuming. NOTE: If you are planning to use this set under the tree (and disassemble it each year) BE SURE to order a spare pack of screws when you buy the set. The screws are small and EASY to lose. Don't ask me how I know ;) Great things to say about Robbie and RLD as well. NICE price, FAST ship and confirmation emails with tracking numbers were sent VERY PROMPTLY. Robbie also got back to me via phone IN A HURRY to answer a question, so +++ there, too. And a tip: If your loco doesn't operate right out of the box or if the light doesn't come on, check the switches. On the NW-2 they are "hidden" inside the loco control box on the front of the unit under the hinged front door. They probably should be set to the "on" position when shipped but mine weren't and if you don't know where to look, they can be tough to find. ALSO NOTE: My set came with a boxcar (a Santa Fe Shock Control car) rather than the refrigerator car shown in the display ad when I ordered. No big deal for me but just be aware in case you've got your heart set on the one in the pic.
