The SM18 is the first combined Sound and Motor decoder from Phoenix, designed specifically for Bachmann locomotives equipped with the Large Scale Socket.
The SM18 has the proven 3W audio system of the PB17 sound board coupled with 3A continuous motor capacity.

I bought two of these for my K-27 and Mogul. They both work fantastically and Phoenix Sound's customer service has been great. They assisted me in programming them through Phoenix's PC Software, which is a lot easier and more accurate than programming it by single CVs. Its also great to have a Phoenix decoder with both motor and sound capabilities. Highly recommended for anyone with Bachmann's decoder socket.
